Planning jumping devices / trampolines
Inclusive playgrounds should be designed to consider the physical, sensory, and cognitive needs of all, promoting social interaction and enhancing appreciation for diversity.
Our insitu variant offers the possibility to freely model the slope of the EPDM surface. This flexible adjustment not only ensures an attractive appearance, but also makes a significant contribution to safety and user-friendliness.
The low-barrier transition between the fall protection area and the trampoline makes it easier to get on and off, especially for people with physical disabilities. This makes trampolining an experience that is open to everyone and promotes the joy of exercise - regardless of their individual abilities.
The right choice of colors and motifs:
Too often, the theme of inclusion is reduced to people who rely on a wheelchair due to their physical limitations. However, inclusion should follow a holistic approach that includes all individuals with disabilities.
For example, the number of people with significant visual impairments is as large as that of wheelchair users and should be considered in the design of jumping equipment.
High-contrast motif mats not only offer high play value and an appealing look, but also enable people with severely impaired vision to perceive color differences.
Our motif mats mats in testing
We tested our jumping mat using glasses that simulate various visual impairments.
We found that our patterns remain clearly visible and easily seen even with a visual acuity of only 0.02%. The additional use of flashtramp® light units further enhances visibility (each third image in the series).
It is important to not only choose high-contrast patterns, but also consider the color of the impact protection tiles. These should provide a clear contrast to the mat and the surrounding play area to facilitate the use of jumping equipment for individuals with visual impairments.
Thanks to carefully selected color combinations and contrasts, our jumping equipment not only enrich playgrounds but also bring great joy to children with visual impairments. The vibrant elements stand out excellently, providing additional play value and an incentive to jump on the mat.
Trampolining enhances all senses.
The integration of equipment on a playground that engages all senses is crucial for creating an inclusive environment.
Our jumping equipment with colored patterns and flashtramp® lighting units, activated by jumping, support motor, cognitive, sensory, emotional, and social skills. Interactive light and color changes enhance the play experience and promote the holistic development of the senses.
